Task Dependency Toggle

The task dependency toggle is automatically activated when a child or sub-task is linked through the Workflow settings. The activation of the toggle triggers a warning before the parent task is marked as complete, alerting you to address any dependent tasks.

You can activate the task dependency toggle by following below steps :

When a sub-task or child task is added in the Workflow settings, the task dependency toggle activates. This triggers a prompt about pending dependencies when closing the parent task, ensuring you are aware of any outstanding tasks before finalizing.

To add a sub-task or child task using the Workflow settings page, follow these steps:

  • Open the relevant team.
  • Navigate to the Workflow settings page.
  • Select the Workflow where you want to set up sub-tasks or child tasks.
  • Scroll towards the bottom left of the page.
  • Click on “Add Sub-tasks” or “Add Child Tasks” to include them in the workflow.

  • Once the sub or the child tasks have been added, the dependency toggles gets automatically activated, shown below

  • You can also choose to deactivate the dependency toggle if not needed.
